Although her grandparents reside in Israel however, she is religious and observes Christian celebrations of the holidays. She claimed that she attended Catholic high school as it was cheaper as compared to the Jewish. Her mother Lana is a bank executive as is the father Michael Trachtenberg is a fiber-optics engineer. Michelle Trachtenberg began her career at a young age. She's appeared in a number of films, commercials, and television series. She was best known for playing Dawn Summers on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Michelle Trachtenberg, along with her older sister, Irene lived within Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn. She attended The Bay Academy for the Arts and Sciences in the year she was a junior high student. Her education continued at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. Trachtenberg sings in Russian. Trachtenberg won many awards including the Young Artist Award from the Sarasota Film Festival. She received nominations for the Teen Choice Award (youngstar award), Saturn Award (saturn award) and Daytime Emmy Award.
